🚀 I was a technology research analyst in London, but I always wanted to contribute to the tech front-line and create solutions that make a difference. That’s why I switched to software engineering.
🐍 My journey started with math modelling contests in university in China. I teamed up with some computer science students who taught me the basics of Python and how to use it for data analysis and visualization. I coded in Python for the first time and won the prize. But more importantly, I discovered my passion for programming and problem-solving.
💻 After settling down in London, I joined Digital Futures, a bootcamp that taught me everything about software development and how to build web applications using various technologies and tools. I also worked on some exciting projects that solved real-world problems.
💪 As a woman in tech and a career changer in a foreign country, I faced many challenges and barriers. However, I overcame them by working hard, seeking help, learning from feedback, celebrating achievements, embracing diversity, and speaking up for myself and others. I also gained many benefits and opportunities as I grew personally and professionally.
🧘 One of the ways that I balanced my work, life, and learning goals was by doing (hot) yoga and pilates regularly. These activities helped me relax, recharge, and focus. They also improved my physical and mental health, as well as my flexibility, strength, and endurance.
🧱 I also enjoy building Lego, which has taught me how to follow instructions, pay attention to details, and be patient and precise. I love seeing different models and designs made with Lego bricks, and I find it very rewarding to see the final results.
🎯 My goal and mission is to create robust, scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for my clients. I am a continuous leaner always learning new technologies and tools that emerge or improve in the tech industry. I would like to work on meaningful and challenging projects that have a clear purpose and impact.
